The Pro L2 manual indicates that with the Safe style distortion never occurs and that this algorithm is designed to do so. So can oversampling be skipped (oversampling = off) when using stye Safe?

When using the safe style there are indeed no harmonics generated by the limiting algorithm, so there is no aliasing noise. Oversampling can be skipped when using this style.
