Pro-C 32<>64bit recognition in project

Hello. For a long time I used Pro-C version 1.21 32bit in my projects, and now when I switched to Mac and installed the same 64bit version of this plugin, a problem appeared that it was not recognized in the project and it was written that “FabFilter Pro-C not found,” although the plugin works well and has the same name. I use Cubase. This is a problem between 32bit and 64bit plugins, I checked it on Windows PC, there it is also not recognized in the project if you install the 64bit version after 32.
Please help solve this problem, too many projects have suffered because of this. Perhaps there is a problem with the plugin ID? Maybe I need to change something through the HEX editor in the project files or somewhere in the Pro-C settings?

Hi Starlight,

This is not a bit depth issue but an issue with the plug-in name. Could you see if using these old installers resolve the issue?

If they do, you should be able to update again after you loaded the project for the first time.

Please let me know if this helps.

One more thing, would you be able to send us your VST3 cache file? You can email it to info@fabfilter.com. Please see below where you can find it:

You sent a bundle with Pro-C 2, it is not recognized. I checked the plugins on Windows again, yes, they all recognize 1.21 plugins in the project, regardless of the bit depth or vst2/vst3. On Mac I installed version Pro-C 1.23 which is in your legacy section. The most interesting thing is that the plugin works perfectly on a Mac and has exactly the same name as when it says “FabFilter Pro-C not found” when opening a Windows project in which 1.21 was used.

Maybe you have a version for Mac 1.21? Although I don't think that's the issue. Probably some IDs different in Mac and PC.

Sorry, I oversaw you mentioned Pro-C 1. Could you send us a session that has this issue?

I sent an email with a test project to info@fabfilter.com. Select any folder when Cubase asks for the project folder.
