March Updates 2023
Agreed. The interface scaling is glorious and really makes working with the various plugins (that now support it) a joy.
I especially appreciate how each plugin can recall separate scaling settings for Full Screen and Windowed mode. Very nice touch.
I did wonder however, whether Pro-R is calibrated quite the same way as other plugins that now support scaling. As from my testing, it seems I cannot achieve a greater value than 125% (Monitor Default) scaling for that particular plugin in VST3 / FL Studio 21.
Perhaps, it's due to the smallest window option available being named 'Medium' for Pro-R. Although, I would still expect to have been able to scale more than 125% in its Full Screen mode (on 1080x1920 display).
But, that's a minor quibble. I am loving the interface scaling on all the updated plugins using it. Very nice (and fast) work Fabfilter in successfully implementing this great new feature throughout your current product lineup. :)
Auto-Collapse Sources option = Magnificent!
Source Flow option = Perfect!
...Now, Fabfilter plugins have far more flexible workflows and users can choose exactly which settings they prefer. And you implemented them seamlessly. Everyone's a winner!
Thank you so, so much! I'm so glad I purchased the Total bundle. Such a great developer, and exemplary customer service and support. :D
In ProC2 however, the resize button in the bottom corner is visible only if the "Display" button is on. It made sense without the scaling because the view with the graph hidden could not be resized, but now the button should be visible at all times.
And with ProQ, there is a possible bug:
- set scaling to 125%
- set size to small
BUG: the size is set to "Custom" with the eq line centered.
- set size to small again
BUG: The size is now set properly but on the next plugin load, it is wrong again.
I can reproduce both problems and we'll have a look at them!
For Pro-C 2, for now you can change the scaling when the display is on, and then turn the display off.
For Pro-Q 3, you can choose the next available display size to have it work normally -- it erroneously goes into "mini" mode depending on the scaling factor. If you use a VST3 host which offers free resizing, you can also drag the bottom edge to make it just a little big larger.
Cheers,
Thanks for the Scaling submenu options.
