is my daw suppose to recognize mono and stereo vst3s? or does vst3 register mono and stereo? without separating them?

VST3 will choose the correct channel layout depending on the layout of the track. A mono track will get a mono version of the plug-in, a stereo track a stereo version of the plug-in.

How long ago has vst3 been available? I paid $ 467.00 and received fab pro bundle vst2 . Can you help?

VST3 has been available for a long time. Our plug-ins support both VST3 and VST2. Since the last few years the VST3 version does not have the FabFilter prefix, so for example the VST2 version of Pro-Q 3 is called "FabFilter Pro-Q 3", where the VST3 version is simply called "Pro-Q 3" in your plug-in list.
