Feature Suggestion: Pro-Q3, Auto Gain Ignores HP/LP

Hi all,

I find that Pro-Q 3's Auto Gain usually works pretty well for me on bell and shelf filters, but if I use a high-pass/low-pass filter to make a more dramatic cut (e.g. high-passing drum overheads to remove most of the non-cymbals information), the signal gets much louder, which makes it harder to A/B the EQ's effects and throws the track out of balance with the rest of the mix.

I wondered if it would be possible to have an option that calculates Auto Gain based on the bell/shelf filters etc, but ignores any high/low-pass filters. That way, using the drum overheads example, you can remove the low frequencies you don't want without the output level increasing, and then bypassing the plugin to A/B wouldn't cause the level of the high-frequency content to change as dramatically.

Would interested to know if this sounds like it could be useful to anyone else!

Cheers,
Jonny
