Pro Q3 Dynamic EQ Swap??
There is a "Make Dynamic" function, but this does not copy the gain setting over to the dynamics settings and set the regular gain to 0. It will simply leave the gain as it is and ad a dynamic range on top of that.
However, you can also create dynamic bands right away, by holding down the Alt key while creating bands in any of the normal ways: Alt+drag the result curve, Alt+double-click in the EQ display or Alt+Ctrl+click (Alt+Command+click on macOS) in the EQ display.
Once a band is dynamic you can use the Command key to change its Q factor just like with a regular band.
Thank you for your reply. I was playing with this, and will have to give it a little more time to get used to. I’m just very used to the my current workflow that it seemed like a useful option for people to have if their workflow is similar to mine. Either way, I’ll give this more attention and see if it helps. Thank you!
Hello,
I find myself sweeping for frequencies with the a static EQ node, adjusting Q with the quick keys, then once I’ve found frequencies I’d like to pull out, I typically then set the Gain back to unity, then pull down the dynamic EQ gain instead so it has the same Q/frequency setting.
I’m wondering if there’s an implementation that can be made to swap the state of the static EQ node for the dynamic side. So if I pull down the node, then i just hit a key to swap to dynamic. Is that possible?
