I just purchased Volcano 2 and use it with Cubase 4. I Use the VST 3 version of the plug. I tried out the sidechain function by activating the sidechain button in Cubase. I also chose another track and routed the sends to the Volcano sidechain. But I didn't get the results I was expecting. I can't hear no difference.
Did I do the right thing, or do I have to set up something more in Volcano?

Did you switch on the Sidechain function in Volcano 2?

I think I saw it somewhere at the bottom of the plug-in window.

Are you using the one that shows (SC)???

The (SC) version is only for VST 2. In VST 3, you need to enable the Cubase sidechain button, and then you can check the result with the Audition (headphones) button in the bottom bar in Volcano 2 (normally it says 'Output').

To use the side chain, use an envelope generator or envelope follower.
