Any plans to upgrade this user forum in the future? It would be great to have something with a few different discussion areas and better moderation of shady posts.

Our goal with the forum is to have a place where we can discuss with our users and provide support, and our current forum does this quite well. It also has the advantage of being really simple and accessible which we like a lot.

We could of course move to a more generic forum implementation but I'm not sure if the forum would be better with more discussion areas.

Shady posts: we are working on that.

Optional email alerts would be a nice addition. Doubly so if you could limit the alerts to FF staff responses.

@Frederik, I honestly prefer the more generic forum approach. Due to the current format I don't particularly enjoy posting on this forum. It lacks many basic features such as editing/deleting comments, text formatting, inserting images (which is very helpful when asking questions and giving help dealing with software), quotations, sharing links to specific comments, etc.

Due to a lack of a forum account, sometimes this forum "forgets" my username and inserts my real name from my FF account instead, which is annoying if I don't catch it before posting since I can't delete the old comment or even edit it.

Having a few forum sections would also encourage more of a community instead of strictly getting tech support. It's probably not feasible to have a subforum for each plugin, but broader topics like "Mixing/Mastering" and "Creative" would be great.

And of course Dan Worrall should have his own subforum. ;-)
