Acoustic Violin Recording.

Hi folks, I could do with some advice on using Pro-Q3 for acoustic violin recordings, I am not sure what I am doing. The recordings are made with a professional musician using a good SE2200a mike in a living room with furniture, soft furnishings etc. I need to improve the sound, clean up any bow noise and just improve the overall quality of the recordings. I would really appreciate some help with this.

Thank you,

Brian

Sounds like your problem is in The Recording. A better room, better mics and recording equipment?

You can suppress noise with Pro-G, setting it to suppress noisy sections. Or use Pro-MB to compress down unwanted Frequency Range.

Alternatively, You can try Noise Reduction and Repair Software, like Izotope's RX.
