Install Fabfilter plugins in an external hard drive
We advise to use the default plug-in locations. Our plug-ins do not take a lot of space, so there is not a lot of benefit to move them to an external hard disk.

On Mac, plug-ins have a fixed location on the system drive, so even if you would be able to install them somewhere else, no host would be able to find them.

Hi guys, I was wondering if it's possible to install Fabfilter plugins in an external hard drive? I was trying to but it did not allow me to. It says plugins have to be installed in a hard drive that runs MacOS which is the Macintosh HD.
