FabFilter

Hi there

I have encountered a pretty interesting problem, I found there are 2 FabFilter plugins installed in my Cubase 10, one is call Pro-Q3, other one is FabFilter Pro-Q3, and Pro-Q3 works fine, however the FabFilter Pro-Q3 is kinda weird, it makes the track instantly louder and even if you bypass it, its still there..

I purchased the Mixing Bundle and had only one clean install, can anyone tell me the difference between the two or why there are two different names (clearly they are the same thing) and one boosting the track even in bypass mode.

If I’m not mistaken the one without FabFilter in the title is the VST3 version and the other one is the VST2 version. Not sure why you’re encountering those problems though.

The VST2 version of Pro-Q 3 will not work properly on mono tracks in Cubase. This is a bug in Cubase that has been there for ages unfortunately; please report it to Steinberg so they have an incentive to fix it.
