I would love to be able to adjust attack and release settings when making an eq band dynamic. Every other dynamic eq I've used features this.

I'm sure the answer will be: use Pro-MB then.

And I agree. ProQ is as easy to use as possible and the dynamics were added as the cherry on top. But adding more controls is a deep rabbit hole. Attacke, Release, then some want a ratio control as well, maybe lookahead, envelope characteristics, sidechain filters for the bands and so on. And it will affect the workflow of even the many many users that don't use the dynamics at all. ProMB is the better tool then, instead of making Pro-Q more complicated :-)

Pro Q3 is exceptional. When using Dynamic EQ, I find that chiseling out many frequencies makes your source sound overly compressed. Maybe I'm just doing too much, but certain sections sound great. Ive tried automation. Since it sounds like its being compressed, the release plays a huge role when crafting the sound you want. I would love to hear how my mix sounds given the release attenuator/potentially.
