True peak overshoots and L2

Hi support.

A question on true peak overshoots and L2.

How do I increase the volume of a track, and avoid overshoots?

For example the loudest I can go without overshoots is 14 LUFS.
How do I hit 12 LUFS and avoid them?

Thanks,

D

Hi David,

Make sure True Peak Limiting is turned on in the bottom bar of Pro-L 2. Then, lower the output of Pro-L 2 to a value below 0dbTP, like -1dbTP. Also make sure True Peak metering is turned on.

Now you can increase the gain and make your track louder, without going over -1dbTP.

Great!

Thank you!
