I'm trying to use Pro-MB on my iPad (inside AUM) as an effect for bass guitar. So far, I have hardly any experience with compression.
What I'd like to achieve is for slapped notes to have a more uniform level between strings. Without compression, the two lowest strings are much louder than the higher ones. EQ is not the right place to change this as it would also affect the harmonics of the lower notes.
I think multiband compression is the way to go here and I'm looking for example settings.
Also, if I happen to find suitable settings how would I import them on iOS? I couldn't find the location where FabFilter plugins keep their presets.
