I was just demoing Volcano and Pro-C

They were both excellant.

The only problem I had was with the knob behavior.

In Cubase I set knob behavior to Linear, so that I can just drag up and down, but the knob go round. All plugins should follow this setting. I can't stand circular mouse movements (thats for fingers not mice).

But both Volcano and Pro-c seemed to want to do circular movements at first, and then after a few tries would switch to linear mode.

Is this the way it is, or is there something I can change to force it to always be linear.

It's particularly bad when you try to adjust the volume/ mix type controls, because you can cause the the knob to suddenly go to full, which blasts your ear drums out.

fabfilter allows linear and rotary use of knobs depending on where you click.
