FabFilter

Im using Fabfilter pro q3 with protools 2019 on a top of the range MacBook Pro 2019 and the q3 display is VERY laggy..sometimes freezing altogether
Its the only plugin exhibiting this behaviour and its making it unusable...
I have tried Mac OS X: Open Terminal and type: defaults write com.fabfilter.Common GraphicsAcceleration 0

its slightly better but still terrible

this is even with only ONE track in PT and 1 fabfilter , so its not a protools issue

Any ideas?..its driving me crazy !

could this be multi monitor related.? .I run 2 external displays (not the macbook- lid is closed ) and it seems WAY better running only on one monitor,,,
very odd ..its as if the graphics card can't keep up (its not being asked to do that much ! :-)

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same issue. In Pro Tools, Pro Q3 lags on my primary monitor (4K TV), but works fine on my much smaller second and third monitors. Pro Q3 works fine in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Luna and Reason. Only Pro Tools is having the issue.

Did you have any luck solving the problem?

Hi Gopal, can you check if disabling graphics acceleration makes a difference?
