One update I would love to see is the ability to duplicate a node at the click of a button 1 octave higher or one lower...

eg, I create a node at 75.098Hz click the button and another is created at 150.196hz click again and another is created at 300.392hz

could something like that be done?

We're not planning on implementing this, but here's a workaround:
Engage the Piano Roll (bottom left corner). If you now click on a band, under the frequency you can see the note. You could change the octave of the band there.
