Twin2 crashing Tracktion Waveform 9?

Anyone else experiencing this?
Twin2 (2.28) is always crashing in Tracktion Waveform 9.21 (MacOS 10.12) when instantiated. And in a weird way, the DAW just disappears from the screen and Mac isn't nagging about it...
Anyway, is it just me? I reeeally want to use a particular Twin2 patch on a project that's too big to export now from Waveform into Logic, am going to have to put it on hold until this is resolved :[
