as im sorting out my plugins (various waves, tracks, nis etc.) i wonder if C2 could replace some/my plugins? but i think there is sadly a lacking info about what those types really do or maybe are inspired from?

Opto (ok this is obvious, comparable with tube comps?)

Mastering
Bus
Punch

Our algorithms are not hardware emulations of any analog compressors. We did of course look at the type of characteristics that made these type of compressors so popular.

I would say Classic is mostly like a 1176 and Opto similar to a compressor with a photo-optical cell compressor and Bus is similar to a SSL type bus compressor. However, I think they sound very different than any piece of hardware some plug-ins are derived from.

Then "vocal" which one?
