Hi, I'm an EU business user in Germany and generally when I purchase software using my VAT ID the purchase is Vat exempt. I don't see anywhere in the FF shop to enter my ID - how do you deal with EU purchases and Vat please? Can you refund VAT (in Germany "Umsatzsteuer" of 19%) on a purchase?

Hi Nigel,

Since our eCommerce payment handler (cleverbridge) is based in Germany, the sales is not an intra-community sale, like you are referring to. It's simply a sale where both seller and buyer are based in Germany.

So this means that for you, gettting your VAT refunded works like any other purchase you have made from a German store.

As I will be purchasing from Holland, will the VAT issue be free for me?

Hi Sander,

When ordering, check "Business purchase" and fill in your VAT number. The VAT amount will be subtracted from the order during the next step.
