When the Distance parameter is set to its farthest value, how far is the distance between the sound source and the virtual listener, relative to the size of the virtual room?

Is the distance equal to the full length of the modelled space? (For example, approximately 49m in the case of the "Concert Hall Vienna" preset, which I assume is based on the Musikverein's large hall.)

Or is the virtual listener located somewhere near the middle of the modelled space, so that the farthest distance is approximately equal to half the length of the modelled space?

We've modeled the presets and the Distance parameter to sound good (and in some cases, similar to existing physical spaces), but they don't exactly match physical setups. So at its maximum setting, the Distance parameter gives the impression of being far away from the sound source, but we didn't model being exactly at the end of the Musikverein's hall.
