Ableton Live Distortion when using Fabfilter
Thanks for reporting this issue. It's not a known problem, but certaintly it shouldn't happen. Could you send us a small test project (including a snippet of audio) so we can reproduce the behavior here? Then we can investigate...
Thanks. I will make a small test tomorrow, because today I have to work.
I just played the same project again and now there is no distortion (without doing any modifications). So that is weird. I will keep an eye on it and if it comes back I wil prepare a test project. Because I remember this happening before.
I hope that this problem doesn't come back, but it is strange. This morning I played the project a lot of times to check whether I could get rid of the distortion, but I couldn't. And now all of a sudden it is gone...
Hi all,
I am using Ableton Live 9 on my iMac and when I play parts of my track, it sounds distorted. I am using Fabfilter Q2, C2 and L on these tracks.
Is there a known issue for OSX users and Ableton Live 9 that these plugins can cause distortion? If so, how can I solve this problem?
I already checked that my volume settings etc are not to high and they aren't. I also set the limiter to -6.0 db on my master track. Also the single tracks themselves are not clipping. Still, I get this distortion.
I am running:
OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 on iMac with 16 GB memory, 2.9 ghz i5, geforce GT 750M 1024 MB
Ableton Live 9 Suite 9.7.1 64 bit
FabFilter Pro L: 1.23
FabFilter Pro Q2: 2.07
FabFilter Pro C2: 2.04
