Hey Guys,

I am trying to sidechain my bass track to my sidechain track in Ableton. I have loaded Pro C onto the bass track and enabled expert mode. I am trying to activate the EXT mode but it is greyed out.

Any ideas why this is please?

Hi Steve,

When using the VST2 version of Pro-C version 1, you need to pick the (SC) version of the plugin to enable the EXT button. We made two versions, one regular with side chain disabled, and one with side chain enabled, because some hosts didn't cope well with VST2 plugins with a side chain (e.g. they would crash or refuse to load the plugin).

We've now found out better ways to deal with this, so our recent plugins like Pro-C 2 don't have a specific (SC) version and just enable the side chain when the host supports it.
