Suggestion about export new option

Hello, I love the plugin from fabfilter, specially pro Q2 and pro Mb for sculpting the sound better than every plug...
The only thing that I can reprove is that we have to change one by one on each plugin the quality setting before exporting for improve the best algorithm from it...

I thing the good way would have been to propose a quality setting for real time and quality setting for offline with a lock like 2caudio plug.

Because when you have 50 instance of pro Q to export it's really long to change one by one the setting quality, isn't it?

This seems to make sense, but we're in doubt whether it is really a good idea.

I assume that with "quality setting" you mean the processing mode? Note that Linear Phase is not always better than Zero Latency: LP can introduce pre-ring which can mess with your transients. We recommend to pick the setting that sounds best and just keep that for both real-time and offline usage. You don't want your bounced renders to sound differently than the one you've been listening to and tweaking all the time, right?

The oversampling setting in Pro-L and Pro-MB is different and there a separate offline setting would work. But again, what's important is that you actually hear a difference, and don't enable e.g. oversampling just because it is "better". And in that case, you probably want to hear the better sound also while working on your mix or master in real-time. If that overloads the CPU, I would rather freeze tracks instead.

Cheers,

Frederik (FabFilter)

I agree with Fredrick because you should have same setting for real time and offline usage to get the results you heard in real time. Well explanation Fredrick.
