Who said Pro-Q2 can't do a flat tilt?

Well, me, but... Of course it can! What was I thinking? Check it out:

- Low shelf at 20 Hz, 6 dB/oct, Gain -30 dB
- High shelf at 20 kHz, 6 dB/oct, Gain +30 dB
- Tilt shelf at 632.46 Hz, 6 dB/oct, Gain +15 dB

(632.46 = SQRT(20*20000), in case you're wondering)

Adjust the Gain Scale slider to taste, it will remain ruler-flat from 0 to 200%. At 100% you get -30 dB @ 20 Hz / +30 dB @ 20 kHz. And for a downward tilt, simply reverse the signs of the three gains.

Hope someone out there finds this useful, I most certainly do, especially as a sidechain filter: beautiful on overheads / drum bus to tame the cymbals and let through the body and punch of the kick, snare and toms. If I'm not mistaken it's just what the "Thrust" filter does in the API 2500.

So, F&F: do I get a preset named after me in the next update? ;-)

This is very cool, thanks for sharing! Maybe a honorable mention in the help file? :-)

Definitely going to try this.

Thanks a lot ! :}

That would certainly be an honour, Frederik!

Really wish there was a preset exchange section on the site!

Really wish they could just include a flat tilt curve so one could utilize the rest of the bands in the same instance for general eqing. When you adjust the scale it adjusts everything else too.

Common sense
