Pro-C2 - not actually compressing??

Hi - I am using the Pro-C2 compressor to compress vocals on some tracks.

After a watching the meters for a while, it seemed that the C2 was not actually compressing the vocals. Sure enough, I did some tests with threshold/ratio and by rendering a few files in mono to observe whether or not peaks had been reduced.

Although the test files had been effected (i.e., high or lower in overall volume depending in/out level settings), it appears that NONE of them were being reduced in dynamic range at all(!) - despite higher ratio settings. This was the case - despite the fact that the meters were/are showing compression on the file at the threshold point, and displaying the reduction in db's via the red line.

What am I missing here? Is there some setting which I am not toggling on that completely removes the actual compression??

I should also mention:

I am using Sonar X3 - with the Pro-C2 in VST 3 mode.

And . . .

I also have the FabFilter Multiband Compressor - which works just fine in this same application.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Dry gain must be set to "-INF" - else dry gain is added to the path.
