Attack and Release shape (Pro-C)
Due to FabFilter Pro-C's highly customized and program-dependent behavior, you can't simply change the curves like that. Instead we designed Pro-C to behave well on varying source material.
Is there a specific sound you're after that you currently can't achieve with Pro-C?
Cheers,
I was having some problems with tuning the Release time for side-chain ducking of a Trance track. Too short and it lifts too early. Too long and it holds it down for too long, never reaching 0dB again.
I managed to tune the frequency selective component of the side-chain input to prevent unwanted sub frequencies activating it to find a compromise. So all is fine with that track now.
I do love the transparency with Pro-C, but sometimes it can sound a little too transparent to the point that the 'pump' cannot be heard very well without extreme settings.
Hi there. First of all, I'd like to thank you for your work in producing some excellent plugins!
My suggestion is about the Attack and Release controls on Pro-C.
I'm wondering how easy it would be to implement a knob that would be able to sweep between log and inverse log to control the release-time curve characteristic? It could also be implemented on the attack time to allow shaping too.
Thanks!
