Volcano seems to crash cubase 7.02 every time on my mac.

This is not a known issue. Does it happen with a specific preset? Are you using the VST 2 or VST 3 version of Volcano 2, 32-bit or 64-bit version?

Do you have a crash log?

Still getting crashes with volcano, any preset can trigger it.

32 bit, VST-3.

We'll investigate it. Volcano is not listed in the crash log's call stack though, so it looks like the crash occurs internally in Cubase 7.

The crash always occurs when instantiating Volcano though - so it's more than just coincidence.

We've been trying to reproduce the crash here, but we haven't succeeded. Volcano 2 runs flawlessly here in Cubase 7.02 on OS X, both 32-bit and 64-bit and both VST3 and VST2...

Is it possible that you create a small Cubase project with only one snippet of audio, and one instance of Volcano 2, and send that to us to test with? Or does the crashing prevent you from doing even that?
