SO I'm using volcano 2 on a parts of a vocal track. I'm using the trance gate (02 bm) preset, but there is loads of popping going on. The track is not clipping. How can I remove/reduce the popping?

You can try to turn up the Glide knobs of both XLFO1 and XLFO2, which will smooth out the trance gate signal!
