Pro-Q Solo request

Hello,

I have been using the Pro-Q plugin and it is a joy to use!

There is one area that may need adjusting and was wondering if other users have experienced this. When you solo a band to make adjustments, I find the solo volume to be a lot louder than listening to the overall track. It can be so loud it peaks my output meters.

It would be nice if the solo volume was compensated and balanced with the no-solo volume of the track being EQd.

Thanks!

I approve completely this request.
It would be really saving for our ears.
Thank you for realizing it for the fellow man update.

Pro-Q automatically adjusts the solo level depending on the bandwidth: the idea is that if the bandwidth is smaller, the level needs to be boosted a bit. Unfortunately this backfires in some cases, so we'll change this behavior in an upcoming update.

Cheers,

I understand why you might want it to boost in volume when soloing a narrow band. What can happen when you are searching for a resonant frequency with a narrow band to cut, it will amplify the problematic frequency range causing overloading.

Looking forward to the update!
