Pro-G mono crashes Digital Performer
We've found that Digital Performer doesn't correctly handle mono AU plugins with a side chain, like Pro-G. We're contacting Motu support for a solution.
Cheers,
That's what i call support ... thumbs up!
Update: Motu has a fix for this issue and they're trying to get it ready in time for Digital Performer 7.2.3.
Cheers,
... another update: MOTU can't get the fix into the upcoming 7.2.3 update in time, so it will be included in the 7.2.4 update a few months later...
Unfortunately, I've been having the same problem on 7.24.
Mono version of Pro-G crashes DP 7.24.
Stereo version works.
I guess MOTU still hasn't fixed their "mono track side-chain handling"...assuming it is in fact MOTU's problem...

News from Motu: 7.24 only contained a fix for Lion and they don't know when they will fix this bug.
We'll try to introduce a workaround for the problem in a future Pro-G update.
Cheers,
Pro-G in mono crashes Digital Performer immediately.
The stereo version works fine, but creates a stereo track out of a mono, so this is unnecessary and cumbersome.
Someone should fix this in the next version.
Thanks!
I'm using Digital Performer 7.22 (the latest version) on a MacBook Pro, running OSX 10.6.7
