We're investigating this issue, but it seems to happen with all other third party plug-ins as well, on different hosts. Do you have an example of a third party plug-in in which the quick automation works properly?

Nova (TDR), 7Q (Manda), H-EQ (Waves), etc... work fine and quickly (also without any oversampling).
