I'm trying to create an effect something like a washboard. The idea would be to feed in a short percussive sound with a pretty short delay time and around 100% feedback. Then have it stop suddenly when I want it to. I've been able to get something close either by creating an envelope to turn the feedback down to zero at the end of the envelope, or by setting the delay to give me the end point and filling it the middle with the "Taps."

But I'd like more control. Is there any way to control this through midi? To be able to feed in a midi note and have the delay stop (or feedback go to zero) when the midi note ends?

You can try with a MIDI map to e.g. the feedback, but I don't think this will work with a note off command. You can just send a midi note on command when you want it to stop and have that trigger an EG that controls the feedback.
