A few bugs
Simplon: Cubase 5.5.2 VST3: Single LP 12 used on kick in FF One mode introduces distortion with non extreme settings(probably has something to do with the ``old dry/wet behaviour issue). This is also the case in Samplitude.
Pro-L: Cubase 5.5.2 VST3: The analiser display gives a slightly delayed image under the -6db border in -32db reso(like it is cut and lags a frame behind). In Samplitude this is not the case. I believe Steinberg is well known for their framerate/graphics bugs(and poorly coded software), so I will post there too..
Volcano 2 VST3: Cubase 5.5.2 The unfolded input level parameter value shows 4db, when unfolding the correctly adjusted and desired 5.00 value appears. This also happens in Samplitude.
All latest versions are used. Thanks in advance, and sorry to be a pain!
Forgot to mention, I'm, on Win 7 64 bit OS, Cubase 5.5.2 32 bit, and the plugins are also 32 bit.
Hi Joost,
The FF One algorithm in Simplon is designed to distort/saturate. Try the Gentle algorithm instead for less distortion.
Unfortunately I can't reproduce your Pro-L graphics issue here, also using Win7 64-bit and Cubase 5.5 32-bit.
I can confirm that in Volcano 2, the dB values shown in the bottom bar are incorrectly rounded sometimes. We'll correct this in a future update!
Cheers,
Hoi Frederik,
Thanks for your quick response.
About the Pro-L display in Cubase, I allready posted this on Cubase.net. It also happens with the VST2 version of the plugin. I will also try to find out if more people are experiencing this. I'll report back when I know more. For the rest it's not a biggy, it get's the job done fine!
Thanks again!
Grtz Joost
