FabFilter

Hi all, I have just purchased a second hand lap top from my university as they are updating their systems. Several friends have suggested the pro-q to me as a great and easy to use eq plugin, so I downloaded the trial but it asks for registration/purchase instantly, so I assume it has already been run on this computer as they did loan the computer out to other students. I use logic and cant stand the eq plug ins in the program so from what I've read and see from pictures this could be the one for me, just wondering if theres any other way I can test it out before considering the purchase.
